Motorcycle Moving Tips
Know the weight of your shipment.
Fuel must be drained. Either ride the unit until it is empty, or drain the tank manually. view photos
Make sure the steering is unlocked and remove the keys. We suggest you send the keys and/or paperwork via FedEx.
If equipped, fold the mirrors in.
Keep forks unlocked.
The battery must be secure and the battery cables must be protected from causing an electrical short. Fluids must not be leaking.
Remove all loose items and empty saddle bags, glove boxes, etc. These items will not be insured if they are included with your shipment.
Make sure that both your pick up and drop off locations are tractor-trailer accessible.
Be sure that you have chosen locations that allow someone to be present during the arrival of your motorcycle or ATV.
Make sure the contact persons are available by phone during the hours of 8-5 Monday through Friday, and be sure that the phone numbers you provide are direct lines to those persons.
Retain inventory sheet signed by driver
